Good morning Teresa,
Is this email chain sufficient, or should I get one from Doug with simplified approval?
Thanks, let me know.

Hi David,
Thanks for the update on the roof.. Lets go ahead and get that project started as winter is approaching. Will do and
will keep you posted.
I do wish to have any questionable roof substrate replaced. Rotted wood, plywood etc. I assume the roof rafters are
still in good shape no water or bug rot? What is the condition of the facia boards? Are there rotted ones that need to
be replaced or are they all fine. When our roofers strip off the old shingles, we will have a better idea. Any damaged
plywood will be replaced. Same goes for fascia work, etc.
Are the leaks from the roof requiring any ceiling drywall repairs on the inside of the house? I don’t think so, we’ll
have a look.
As for the color of the roof black would be fine with me using a quality asphalt shingle with a long life span. What
warranty is on the work and materials? Agreed on the shingles and color. I will get specifics from our contractor on
the warranty and get back to you.
Thanks for taking care of this. As you know, the roof has been a concern of mine over the past few years as it was
reaching the end of its life span..
Please send me some photos of the finished roof. Will do!
Thanks,
Doug

Good afternoon Doug,
As you are aware, State Farm has recommended replacing the roof on your home over in Satank. The
tenants are also reporting that in very heavy rains, there is some water penetration through the existing
roof. I secured a bid from our roofer on the project and the estimate came in at $12,375.00. This includes
tear-off and disposal of the old roofing materials, install WIP 300 HT moisture barrier, install any
necessary flashing, and finally, asphalt shingles in the color of your choice.
Please let me know if we have the go-ahead and we’ll get the project moving.
Thanks!
