In the course of our observation, we also conducted a general framing review to confirm that as-built conditions were in conformance with our structural drawings. The existing framing issue concerns the support condition of the existing single 2x12 ridge beam over HALL 4. We have analyzed the loading and support conditions on this ridge beam. As a result of our structural review, it is our professional opinion that the ridge beam is adequately supported for the loads imposed. During our general framing observation, the following items were noted: 1. Front Entry Porch: Roof framing appeared to be complete, but porch floor (concrete) was not yet installed. 2. Side Porch (South): Deck framing appeared to be complete. Joists on south side extended over the foundation wall by several inches instead of terminating at the edge of the foundation wall (detail 11/S6.01) but is not a structural concern. The roof over the deck has not yet been constructed. 3. Other framing: All other framing appeared to be in general conformance with the requirements of the structural drawings. Please feel free to contact our office if you have any additional questions. Sincerely, Evolve Structural Design LLC Oliver W.
