At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new concrete 2,000-gallon two-compartment septic tank with a high-head pump in the second compartment of the tank, the new pump line, the Automatic Distributing Valve (ADV), and the 936 ft2 Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank was installed level with access to the tank brought to grade. The ADV was installed at the high point of the OWTS. The STA consisted of three 12 feet wide by 26 feet long by 2 feet deep unlined sand filter constructed with secondary sand media. Additionally, inspection ports were present at each corner of the bed. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Additionally, we received an installation observation letter and As-Built drawing from the system designer (dated May 1, 2023) indicating the OWTS was installed in general conformance with the permitted design. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit. Thank you, Edward R. “Ted” White, P.E.
