Re: Foundation Observations, Garfield County Building Permit # BLRE .4-24-8614,
236 Limberpine Circle, Battlement Mesa, Colorado
Gentlemen:
The form work was discontinuous on the northeast side of the perimeter wall and the east portion of the garage,
to allow access of the concrete trucks. Form work was bulkheaded off at least 4 feet from building corners and
horizontal reinforcing is extending a minimum of 24 inches past the 'cold joint', to provide proper bar lapping.
This has been discussed with and approved by the undersigned Foundation Engineer.
Edward M. Morris, P.E. of Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, examined the foundation footing forms (FastFoot
System) at the above -referenced site on 6-6-2024. Our examination was based on foundation engineering
drawings previously completed by Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, Inc. for this site. All footings were
substantially the correct width and depth as per our foundation design.
Edward M. Morris, P.E. of Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, examined the foundation forms (ICF) at the above -
referenced site on 6-12-2024. Our examination was based on foundation engineering drawings previously
completed by Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, Inc. for this site. The stemwall on grade was substantially the
proper width, and the foundation voids were the correct length and were placed as per our foundation design.
Edward M. Morris, P.E. of Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, observed the foundation reinforcing steel at the
above -referenced site on 6-6 & 6-12-2024. Proper placement and quantity of steel reinforcing bars were found
at the time of our observation. Therefore, it is our conclusion that the work done is in substantial conformance
with our previous recommendations for this site.
Edward M. Morris, P.E. of Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore, observed the UFER BAR (Concrete Encased
Electrode [rebar ground]) at the above -referenced site on 6-6-2024. The Ufer Bar was found to consist of a
minimum %2"o rebar, 20' long or connecting to 20' minimum %2"o rebar near the south corner in the lower
(lowest) portion of the foundation concrete in substantial accordance with Section 250.52 A3 of the 2017 NEC.
We hope this letter has provided you with the information required. If questions arise, or if further information
is needed, please feel free to contact Grand Junction Lincoln DeVore at any time.
Respectfully submitted,
