OWTS Permit #: SEPT-7407
March 12, 2025
Rob and Kim,
On March 11, 2025, we visited the Velasquez Residence at 3062 County Road 113 near
Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS
Permit # SEPT-7407. Garfield County Public Health staff were not contacted to observe the new
connection of the garage sewer line to the existing OWTS prior to backfilling this connection.
However, the homeowner provided photographs of the installation. At the time of our site visit,
the owner had installed the new cleanout and sewer line. The sewer line appeared to have
adequate fall, was constructed of appropriate pipe material, and was not longer than 100 feet,
so no additional cleanout is required along this sewer line prior to the connection to the existing
septic tank. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield
County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental
Health is required regarding this permit.
Thank you,
Edward R. “Ted” White, P.E.
