At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new concrete 1250-gallon two-compartment septic tank with a high-head pump in the second compartment of the tank, the new pump line, the level distribution manifold, and the 672 ft2 Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank was installed level with access to the tank brought to grade. The STA consisted of one 12 feet wide by 56 feet long by 3 feet deep unlined sand filter constructed with secondary sand media and using gravel distribution media. Additionally, inspection ports were present at each corner of the bed. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Additionally, we received an installation observation letter and As-Built drawing from the system designer (dated April 1, 2025) indicating the OWTS was installed in general conformance with the permitted design. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
