Sorry, I messed up the site diagram. I reused the one I created when I buitt my house in 2018. So, that \
"new house footprint" is existing construction, not new. lt is my primary residence. This is reatty a shed .\ )
to house my camper trail,er. lt won't be attached to anything. Yes, the btue, or green rectangl'e is what I \
want to buitd, 720'. The etevation is 6293'. ljust tal,ked to Midwest Manufacturing and we shoul,d have a \
sotution back soon

Hetto! This is Garfietd County Ptans Examiner, Colleen Wirth.
Providing a buitding apptication update for Brandon Baker pote barn aI7677 CR 301 Parachute,
Cotorado.
Before I continue with BAKER btueprint review, there are just a few questions to address:
$
{q
1
QUESTTONS:
1. Describc work lists "install an uninsulated, non-heated, non-electrical pole barn. No concrete,
dift gravclfloor".
1.a. Witt this structure be used and / or occupied sotety for private, agricutturat use(s) onl,y?
1.b. lt non-agricutturat use(s) or another intended occupancy, ptease provide response in writing. Your
repty witt aid staff in finishing the zoning comptiance review, thank you!
2. An 'undated'copy of a SITE PLAN is inctuded with the btueprints.
2.a. Wou[d structure tabel,ed "new house footprint" reftect your existing primary residence constructed
and completed (with a Certificate of Occupancy issued in December 2018)?
2.b. Wouid the structure graphical,ty depicted in btue outtine tabeted "new shed" reftect location of the
proposed new72O sq ft pote barn?
3. We're unable to verify engineered ptans meet Garfiel.d County's Locatty adopted requirements.
3.a. What is the buitding site etevation in feet above sea [eve[ (no etevation data found in apptication)?
3.b. Assuming this structure is to be an 'accessory bui[ding' to the existing residence (and not- intended
for a non-residentiaI or commercial business use)- see Buitding Code Requirements - Residential.docx
guide:
Wherever site etevation up to 7,000 ft elevation a minimum Pl = 4O PSF ROOF SNOWLOAD is required
(measured from the ROOF, not ground.) Materiats submitted represent Pg ground snowload at 40
PSF. Ground snowtoad at 40 PSF more typicatty resutts in a lower or less Pf = roof snow [oad, whereby
we stay mitdty concerned the roof design may not be adequate for the site.
Ptease work with Midwest Manufacturing to provide Structural Engineer of Record's stamped Pf = ROOF
SNOWLOAD DATA for Garfietd County ptans examiner further review.
2
NEXTAGTION STEPS:
Request owner buil, der respond in writing to items #1 - 3.a. as best abte. Request Structural
Engineer of Record verify actual, site etevation with owner buitder and respond in writing to item
3.b.
Al,l, repties can be sent to me directty, Cotteen Wirth, Ptans Examiner, cwirth@garfietdcountyco.gov.
