We previously observed three pit excavations at the site as described in a letter dated December 18, 2023. The excavation for the residence had been dug about 2%2 to 7 feet below the surrounding grade. No free water was observed in the excavation. The subgrade appeared firm and suitable for new foundations designed for an allowable soil bearing pressure of 2,000 psf. A sample of the subgrade soils showed a per cent finer than sand size of 34%, Atterberg limits testing indicated a liquid limit of 28 and a plasticity index of 16. Footings should be a minimum width of 18 inches for walls and 2 feet for columns. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please call our office. Sincerely, Kumar & Associates, t ;o Daniel E. Hardin, P. ,_ DEH/kac
