My Egmmendatlon to Mr. Petemn and the Garffeld county planning staff on lune 276 was to cea5e any

willow volunters (sapllnEs) and any other qisting native wgdatlon to rsorer and grow, provldlnt $me
vegetatlre buffs dirdly along the rlw/s edge. I sutgest Mr' Pete6on and Gadeld county e*abllsh the
3$foot setback uslng a GPs boundsry for @nsistency and future monitoting p{rrp@s.
Additlonally, I lecommended to Mr. Petsgn and the Garfield County planning staff planting 5ome w@dy
vegetation in the fom of shrubs such as thEhaf sumac (slstlng on the east slde ot th€ rlparlan area)' I
also reommended that Mr. PeteBon plant a few narowl,eaf cottwood and ponde,osa ptne trees on the
west side ofthe rtparian area to petpetuate the disting chacder ofthis area as seveEl decadent
lndlvldual trees have fallen in r€centyears.
