Discrepancy Remarks:
As requested, a site visit was made to observe the condition of the previously placed fill material under the sidewalk to the
north of Building A. We observed the Class 6 material had been removed exposing the underlying fill. This fill was observed to
be saturated and was pumping/deflecting under foot pressure. Our recommendation is to let the area dry out before
proceeding with work. If this is not feasible, our office should be consulted for other recommendations.

moisture conditioned material and recompacted.
General Remarks:
As requested, a proof roll was observed along the south side of Building "A", from the southeast corner of the building to the
southwest corner. Areas of soft, deflecting soils were encountered at the water line and storm sewer line on the east side of the
building. An additional soft, deflecting area was encountered on the southwest side of the building, from the southwest corner,
heading east to approximately 13 line, approximately 10’ wide. We recommended that this area be scarified down one foot and
allowed to air dry before being recompacted. The general contractor was notified of our observations and requested a proof roll
be scheduled for tomorrow morning, Wednesday March 12, 2025. We will return as requested for a proof roll at the scheduled

was noted during this morning’s proof roll. We judge the area on the south side of Building “A”, from 3 line to 29 line as
acceptable for placement and compaction of required thickness of aggregate base course to achieve proposed sidewalk
subgrade in this area. The general contractor was notified of our observations while onsite. Additional site visits will be

Tests are "Direct Transmission" (Method A) unless probe depth is noted as
"Backscatter". Gauge calibration data on file with the testing agency.
6: As requested, we made a site visit to observe and test the
placement of native fill at various locations around the project. We
observed crews placing material in approximately 8-10" lifts with a
dozer for the Chapparal Drive street subgrade. No compactive effort
was observed at this location during our visit. Compactive effort was
being applied to the west footing line of Building A with a Bomag
single smooth drum roller. Our understanding was that the areas
tested were placed and compacted the previous Friday. We observed
lower than optimum moisture content at the locations tested.

A: Test results comply with specifications.
Comments
Tests are "Direct Transmission" (Method A) unless probe depth is noted as
"Backscatter". Gauge calibration data on file with the testing agency.
9: As requested, a site visit was made to observe and test fill
placement. The contractor was informed of the density test results. It
was suggested to the contractor to rework, moisture condition the
areas of density test #7 and #8. It was also suggested to the
contractor to process the moisture into the lift and not just moisture
condition the surface. Two top soil sample were obtained to
determine the percent organic matter. Another on-site sample of fill
material was obtained and a proctor density test will be performed. A
return visit was requested for June 13, 2024, tomorrow.

72: As requested, a site visit was made to observe and test sidewalk
subgrade along Donnegan Road. At the time of our arrival the
prepared sidewalk subgrade felt soft and some deflection of the
surface was noted. Density testing results indicated the subgrade did
not meet project specifications. We recommended additional
compactive effort be applied to the sidewalk subgrade. We returned
later in the afternoon and noted that the subgrade felt firmer, and no
deflection underfoot was observed. Additional density testing in the
area that failed earlier in the day indicated the subgrade was properly
compacted and met the project specifications. Additional testing was
performed along the prepared surface. Our observations and density
test results indicate the sidewalk subgrade was prepared in general
conformance with the project specifications. The general contractor
was notified of our results and observations. Our office will be
contacted when a return visit is required.
This report presents opinions formed as a result of our observations of fill placement and the test results shown above. Test data are not the sole basis for
opinions whether the fill meets project specifications. The contractor is responsible to apply necessary compaction effort and moisture to comply with project
specifications. Our test results, observations and opinions do not constitute acceptance of the work.

80: As requested, a site visit was made for observation and density
testing of aggregate base course being placed to achieve curb and
gutter subgrade on the west side of Building A. The earthwork
contractor had placed and compacted the required thickness of
aggregate base course in this area prior to our arrival on-site. Results
