At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new concrete 2,000-gallon two-compartment septic tank followed by the new concrete 500-gallon pump chamber with a high-head pump in the chamber, the new pump line, the Automatic Distribution Valve (ADV), and the 1,224 ft2 Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank and pump chamber were installed level with access to the tank brought to grade. The ADV was installed at the high point of the system. The STA consisted of two three-row chamber beds with 17 chambers per row (102 chambers total). Additionally, inspection ports were present at each corner of each bed. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Additionally, we received an installation observation letter and As-Built drawing from the system designer (dated July 29, 2024) indicating the OWTS was installed in general conformance with the permitted design. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit. Thank you, Edward R. “Ted” White, P.E.
