Firewise Wildfire Mitigation & Vegetation Management Plan
Project: White Cloud Lot 6

1. Building Hardening Measures
Roof Assembly:
r Class A fire-rated flat roof system using DensDeck and TPO membrane.
o No gutters present; roof drains are internal, reducing debris accumulation and ignition
risk.
Siding:
. All exterior siding is composed of non-combustible stucco and natural stone veneer
. Exterior walls comply with ignition-resistant construction standards.
Vents & Eaves:
o Allvents are protected with ember-resistant metal mesh (<1/8").
r Eaves are fully enclosed to prevent ember intrusion.

2. Defensible Space Zones
Zone 1: 0-5 Feet (lmmediate Zone)
. Maintained as a non-combustible zone around the entire structure.
. No vegetation, mulch, or combustible materials are allowed.
o Use of hardscaping (concrete, gravel, stone) around the perimeter.
Zone 2: 5-30 Feet (lntermediate Zonel
r Little to no natural vegetation currently present.
r Any new landscaping will utilize low-flammability, fire-resistant species
r lrrigation systems will maintain live fuel moisture content.
Zone 3: 30-100+ Feet (Extended Zonel
o Open landscape with'sparse vegetation and no ladder fuels
a Any existing shrubs will be maintained with vertical spacing and pruned of deadwood
3. Vegetation Management & Maintenance
o Site will be inspected biannually (spring and late summer) for debris, leaf litter, and
regrowth.
. Any future plantings will include native, drought-tolerant, and fire-resistant species.
r No storage of firewood or combustibles within 30 feet of structures.
r Groundcover (if added) will be maintained under 4 inches in height.
4. Access & Emergency Preparedness
. Driveway provides fire truck turnaround access compliant with Garfield County code
. Reflective address signage will be visible from \Mrite Cloud Drive.
o Fire extinguishers placed on every level; fire tool kit maintained during construction
(shovel, rake, hose).
5. Wildfire Risk Assessment
As documented in the official Colorado Wildfire Risk Viewer map (generated April 18, 2025),
White Cloud Lot 6 is located in a Low Risk wildfire area. This data is derived from the Colorado
State Forest Service's public risk map tool.
