Air Infiltration & Ventilation Flow Testing Report
Test Date: November 12th, 2025
Builder: Crystal Constructors Inc.
Contact: Joh Placek
Site Address: 363 Rapids View Lane, New Castle, CO
Site Visit By: Jason Weingast
Background
The project goal is to undergo testing at the final point in construction to determine if the unit
meets the IECC requirements for infiltration and ventilation. North 39 Energy was contracted to
perform a final blower door test to determine total air infiltration and ventilation flow testing.
The blower door testing must show a tested value of 3 ACH50 or lower in order to comply with
the IECC. The ventilation flows must achieve 20cfm per bathroom for continuous ventilation
per R303.3.
Site Observations
Construction of the building envelope was complete. All exterior openings were shut and locked
and interior doors were open. The blower door test was performed in an exterior door. The
pressure probe was placed outside. The ventilation test was performed in each bathroom.
Blower Door Test
The unit was depressurized, utilizing blower door testing equipment to a pressure of -50 Pa. At
the test pressure, the CFM50 was recorded, in order to determine the ACH50.
The blower door air leakage resulted in the following measurements: 1.4ACH50
Ventilation Flow Test
An exhaust fan flow meter was installed on the bathroom exhaust units of the home. The cfm
exhaust flow was measured for each fan.
The bathroom ventilation testing resulted in the following measurements: 23, 24 & 27cfm.
