Aster Place has requested and been granted by our Agency 8 HUD Project -Based vouchers for the project. I am not positive (I would have to check); however, if I remember correctly, all 58 units would be at 80% of AMI or below, making them all what our Agency Board considers "affordable" units. The 8 PBV units would serve families at 30%AMI or below. The developer is also offering onsite supportive services for all tenants; which is indicative of the lower income housing. Please let me know if you have additional questions. I was told at the beginning that all the units will be categorized as "Affordable Units". I am getting close to issuing permits and was wondering GarCo Housing involvement in the project. A newspaper article mentioned 28 units being "Mitigation Units", I haven't reached out to the owner or architect yet, I wanted to hear from you first. There's Building Plan Review fees and Road Impact fees that can be waived if I receive some commitment on their part. I'll need something formal for my file if I'm waiving any fees. I cannot guarantee it is that way with this project; however, the Housing Authority has not placed vouchers a project in our County that was subsidized by CHFA that was not totally deed restricted. I know that Mr. Snow is reaching out to CHFA to see if he can procure some sort of letter from them to confirm that the entire project is deed restricted for your records. Let me know if I can assist you with anything else.
