RE: Grading Permit: Aster Place Affordable Housing Project
Dear John:
This office has reviewed the documents provided for the Grading Permit application of the Aster
Place, Affordable Housing project. The submittal was found to be thorough and well organized.
The review generated the following comments:
1. Applicant should obtain and provide a copy of the CDPHE Stormwater Discharge permit to
Garfield County prior to issuing the grading permit.
2. The Applicant should provide a cost estimate for the grading improvements, revegetation,
weed control, and erosion control to be used for providing a reasonable security amount.
3. The detention calculations need to be provided for the detention pond sizing.
4. The elevations of the sewer, water, and storm crossings is difficult to determine. The Applicant
should provide more information to verify that adequate separation is achieved.
5. The landscape plantings conflict with the pipes of the proposed storm drain system. The
Landscape plan should be revised and notes provided to avoid and protect the storm pipes.
