On July 15, 2025, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 1644 County Road 237 near
Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-
8966. The system was designed by Huddleston-Berry Engineering & Testing, LLC and installed by the
homeowner. We received an as-built drawing of the constructed system and a letter certifying that the
system was constructed in compliance with the permitted design from the OWTS designer dated
September 29, 2025.
During our inspection, we observed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new
concrete 1,500-gallon two-compartment septic tank with an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the tank,
the new effluent line, the distribution box, and the Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank and
distribution box were installed level. The STA consisted of one 4-row gravelless chamber bed consisting
of 18 Quick4 chambers per row (72 chambers total, 864 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports
were present at each corner of bed. On the installation of the inlet tee in the septic tank and risers
installed on the distribution box, providing access at the ground surface.
As required by Garfield County OWTS Regulation Section 43.4.F.3, based on our final inspection
observations, this OWTS was installed according to the permit requirements and regulations.
