To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Adam Gonterman, and I am a Project Manager at Gould Construction. I am
writing in strong support of the Harvest Roaring Fork project.
I relocated to the Roaring Fork Valley several years ago because of the opportunity to build
my career in construction and to be part of a strong, hardworking community. Before
joining Gould Construction, I worked multiple jobs and lived with roommates just to make
ends meet. Like many others in this valley, housing was the single greatest challenge.
Even after advancing professionally and becoming a Project Manager, the cost of housing
remains a significant burden. I was recently able to purchase a home, which I am incredibly
grateful for —but due to the very high costs of homeownership in the valley, I still rely on
roommates to help sustain the mortgage and overall expenses. That reality speaks volumes
about the affordability challenges we face here.
The Roaring Fork Valley depends on a stable, local workforce, people who build, manage,
teach, serve, and support this community every day. When housing costs push working
professionals into long commutes, shared living situations out of necessity, or out of the
valley entirely, it impacts not only individuals but the long-term strength of our community.
Harvest Roaring Fork offers a meaningful step toward providing attainable housing options
that allow working professionals to live where they work and contribute to the local
economy. Supporting projects like this helps ensure that people at all stages of their
careers can put down roots here, build stability, and invest in the future of the valley.
I strongly encourage approval and support of the Harvest Roaring Fork project as a vital
solution to our housing challenges.
Sincerely,
Adam Gonterman
