To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Dave and I serve as the General Superintendent at Gould Construction. I am
writing in strong support of the Harvest Roaring Fork project.
I moved to the Roaring Fork Valley years ago as a laborer, drawn by the opportunity to build
a career in construction and be part of a strong, hardworking community. Overtime,
through dedication and the growth opportunities available, I worked my way up to General
Superintendent. The professional opportunities in this valley have been tremendous, and I
am proud of the path I have been able to build here.
However, throughout that journey, housing affordability has been a constant challenge. Like
many working families, we have been pushed farther and farther down valley due to rising
housing costs resulting in long commute times. Even with career advancement and
increased responsibility, keeping my family rooted in this valley has required ongoing
sacrifice and adjustment.
The opportunity to grow professionally exists here, but the ability to sustainably live here is
becoming more difficult. If we want to retain skilled workers, support families, and
maintain a stable workforce, we must create more attainable housing options.
Harvest Roaring Fork represents an important step toward addressing this issue and
supporting the people who live and work in this community every day. I strongly encourage
support and approval of this much -needed project.
