To Whom It May Concern:
The purpose of this letter is to discuss our observation of the installation of the Onsite
Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) at 960 County Road #107 North of Carbondale,
Colorado. Boundaries Unlimited Inc (BUI) observed the installation of a 1250-gallon
concrete septic tank with vertical tees and an effluent fllter; a distribution box; flfty-two (52)
Quick 4 Plus Inflltrator chambers in three (3) trenches (3 x 18); inspection ports at each end; a
two-way cleanout; and piping. A backwash/fiushing inflltration system was also installed
comprised of a two-way cleanout; piping; eighteen (18) Quick 4 Inflltrator Plus chambers in a
single trench; and an inspection port at the end.
The Contractor was advised to extend the effluent fllter handle to within 12” of the access port
lid, to install the valve box covers over the inspection ports and proceed with backfllling. The
County had performed their inspection earlier in the day on February 25, 2026. Based on our
inspection, the OWTS appears to have been installed in general conformance with the intent
of the design and current Garfleld County regulations. Please see the attached asbuilt and
images of the installation.
