Hi John,
I understand this but the bank is only looking at the permit. Can you just change the expiration
date to 6 months from our last inspection?
Thanks,
Brent

Hi Brent,
You had an inspection on 2-17-26, the expiration date is 180 days from each inspection.
Sorry that this is confusing having an expiration date on the permit and inspection card…

Hello,
Not sure what to do but the owner has financed this project through now and the bank loan is
kicking in starting for February work. The bank will not fund this project with the permit which
expired on 12/7/25.
Thanks,
Brent Ritter

We don’t care how long it takes as long as there’s an inspection every 6 months. If
there’s a lag time between inspections more than 6 months, you can request an
extension. The request is to be in writing and give a reason, email is fine. We haven’t
penalized someone if they call an inspection within a month or two over the 6 months.
We typically won’t expire a permit without contacting you first.

Hola John,
Thanks but the build schedule for this home is at 16 months so how does that work with
the permit timeframe?
Thanks,
Brent

Hey Brent,
You last inspection was on 8-4-25, you have 6 months from your last
inspection before the permit is set to expire.
The permit cards should be revised to reflect expiration 180 days from
issuance of the permit or 180 days from the last inspection.
I’ll look to get that changed, this happens too often…
Please share this with your bank.

Hello Teresa,
Not sure what to do on this, as the owner has funded everything to date and
starting a bank loan. The bank says permit expires 12/25 and wants a new
permit?? This project should be complete 12/26??
Thanks,
Brent Ritter
