Can you just change the expiration date to 6 months from our last inspection? Sorry that this is confusing having an expiration date on the permit and inspection card… John Plano Chief Building Official Garfield County Building Department 108 8th Street #401 Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 (970) 945-1377 Ext. 1560 From: Brent Ritter <brent@precisionbuiltcm.com> Sent: Friday, March 6, 2026 11:03 AM To: John Plano <jplano@garfieldcountyco.gov> Cc: Teresa Bianco <tbianco@garfieldcountyco.gov>; Brooke Winschell <BWinschell@garfieldcountyco.gov> Subject: RE: 305 Saddleback Hello, Not sure what to do but the owner has financed this project through now and the bank loan is kicking in starting for February work. The bank will not fund this project with the permit which expired on 12/7/25. If there’s a lag time between inspections more than 6 months, you can request an extension. The request is to be in writing and give a reason, email is fine. We haven’t penalized someone if they call an inspection within a month or two over the 6 months. We typically won’t expire a permit without contacting you first. The permit cards should be revised to reflect expiration 180 days from issuance of the permit or 180 days from the last inspection. I’ll look to get that changed, this happens too often… Please share this with your bank.
