On September 17 and October 24, 2025, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 1155
County Road 237 near Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to
OWTS Permit # SEPT-9140. The system was designed by CTL/Thompson, Inc. and installed by Dillon
Walters. We received an as-built drawing of the constructed system from the homeowner on March 9,
2026, and a letter certifying that the system was constructed in compliance with the permitted design from
the OWTS designer dated April 21, 2026.
During our inspections, we observed the new sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new
concrete 1,500-gallon three-compartment septic tank with a high-head Orenco pump package in the third
compartment of the tank, the new pump line, and the Soil Treatment Area (STA). The septic tank was
installed level with access at grade. The STA consisted of two 12 feet by 24 feet gravelless chamber beds
with six Quick4 chambers per row (four rows per bed, 576 ft2 total STA). The STA consisted of 4
distribution laterals constructed of 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC with 5/32-inch diameter orifices
every 5-feet on center, facing up, with every fifth orifice facing down and equipped with an orifice shield.
Additionally, inspection ports were present at each corner of each bed.
As required by Garfield County OWTS Regulation Section 43.4.F.3, based on our final inspection
observations, this OWTS was installed according to the permit requirements and regulations.
