RE: Variance Request for Electric Vehicle Charging Parking Spots.
Aster Place, 5 Stone Quarry Road, Parachute, CO
Dear DORA,
I have received a State Variance Request Form and associated documentation from the
design professionals regarding the Aster Place Affordable Apartment Complex.
The Variance Request Form is asking for a reduction of the EV parking spaces from 60
to 22 EVSE, EV Ready and EV Capable Light spots.
Based on these buildings housing entirely affordable units, the actual population base of
the area, and the cost of complying to the strict letter of the State Bill. Garfield County
Building Department does support the variance request dated 09/10/20206.
