Provided = 5,121.48 sq.ft. Required = 4,750.00 " " Safety Factor (see narrative) = 461.48 sq.ft. Narrative Notes: Existing four (approx. 5 yr. old) drywells not to be used for one year to allow for drying, soil fracture, and aerobic breakdown of 4• 4 • material contents - to be accomplished by checking flow in distri- bution line. Safety factor of 461.48 sq.ft. allowed for possible loss in sidewall absorption area after one year redeeming period at which time flow stop shall be removed and drywells returned to use. New drywell to be equipped with suitable lift pump for transfer of excess effluent to seepage bed. Seepage bed to contain two feet of approved aggregate. Perforated laterals to be 6' apart and 3' from seepage bed sidewalls. Laterals to be covered with a minimum of 2" of clean aggregate and then 4" of hay, straw, or other suitable material. Shallow sloping cover (backfill) to be provided to allow for evapotranspiration. Highly recommend area be seeded for plant life. Seepage bed to be equipped with minimum of two survey ports located in middle and at farthest lateral end from inlet in order to allow for effluent observation in the field until the four existing dry- wells are put back on line. Former plans of three or more new drywells constructed in series abandoned due to required grading and location restrictions would place said drywells within four feet of maximum water table. Shallow drywell - wetwell - lift station combination will be 4'+ above maximum water table. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT. y ` f r J' \ Edward L. Feld Deputy Sanitarian ELF /tlb
