Beck P.E., pertaining to system proposed for Mr. John Adams 0726 Owens Drive, Silt, CO 81652 After receiving the fax I called and spoke with Mr. Beck, I requested that he mail a wet stamped and signed set of plans for this project. I told him that if he would do this I would authorize Mr. Adams to proceed with the work on the system as designed. Mr. Beck assured me he would send the stamped, signed plan in the mail. It will be required that all work on this system be inspected prior to covering. You are responsible for calling for inspections by this department at least twenty four (24) hours prior to when inspection is needed. No cover up of any portion of the system is permitted without inspection and approval. All soil and waste water systems in the house or accessory buildings are required to be connected to the septic system in compliance with the 1988 Uniform Plumbing Code, inspected and approved by an inspector of this department. If you have any questions please give me a call. cc: file Adams02.95 109 8th Street, Suite 303 . 945 - 82121625- 5571/285 -7972 . The septic tank was reported to be 1250 gallon, which would be adequate. During this visit, we recommended that a "Wisconsin Mound" type final disposal system would probably be the best solution for this site. For a three bedroom residence, the design flow rate is 675 gallons per day. The required minimum gravel base area is 710 square feet. The minimum sand base area required is 1350 square feet. It appears that the system could be a gravity system if the mound is placed easterly of the house. Since the percolation rate is more than 60 minutes per inch, the smaller (25 feet) setbacks from the pond and ditches would apply. However, a drainage ditch around the mound area will be very important, it will divert local drainage around the mound and on toward the pond. 923 Cooper Avenue • Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 Telephone: 303. 945 -0676 • PAX: 303-945-2555 , IJaY -19 -1995 11:03 HIGH COUNTRY ENGINEERING P.
