Re: Sewerage disposal system at 1804 Midland Avenue
Dear Mr. Howard:
Section 22 -45 of the Glenwood Springs Municipal Code requires all
buildings within the City and within 400 feet of any established sewer
line to be connected with the City sewerage system. The proposed
residence at 1804 Midland Avenue is well beyond 400 feet, therefore, it
is required to be connected to a private sewerage disposal system in
conformity with the design criteria and rules and regulations of the
department of health of the State of Colorado.
At the present time, the City has no plans of extending the sewer line
on Midland Avenue due to the fact funds have not been allocated in
conjunction with low demand in this area. The City will inform you if
and when there is a change in priorities.
The homeowner has the option of extending the line, however the substan-
tial cost may be prohibitive.
If a private sewerage disposal system will be used, please review the
design and installation for conformance with State regulations.
Please contact us if we can be of assistance.
Sincerely,
4 v f
