The work was performed in accordance with our agreement letter for professional geotechnical engineering services to you dated February 8, 1996. The findings of our work are presented in this report. We understand that the percolation test holes and profile pit had been dug and soaked on February 7, 1996 by you. The percolation test holes were covered to protect them against freezing. The test holes were excavated with a rubber -tired backhoe, and a hole approximately 1 foot in diameter and 1 foot deep was hand dug in the bottom of each hole. The test locations are shown on Fig. 1. Percolation testing and observation of the profile pit was performed on February 8 by a representative of Hepworth - Pawlak Geotechnical, Inc. The percolation test results are provided on Table I. The soils exposed in the profile pit consisted of 5.5 feet of fine - grained soil overlying silty sandy gravel with cobbles to the maximum depth dug of 8 feet. No free water was observed in the profile pit and the subsoils were moist. Based on our observations and percolation test results, the tested area is suitable for an infiltration septic disposal system. If you have any questions or we may be of further assistance, please call our office. Sincerely, HEPWORTH- PAWLA. z t. NICAL, INC. al . ./.. 1 "r ' •• f Steven L.
