Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 RE: Individual Sewage Disposal System for Your New Residence on Dry Hollow Road Dear Tom: This letter provides my design recommendations for the individual sewage system for your new residence on Dry Hollow Road. Soil percolation tests conducted by myself on August 21, 1996 in three percolation test holes within the proposed leachfield area indicated an average soil percolation rate of 57 minutes per inch. The soil is a silty clay with no groundwater or bedrock within the first 8 feet. The on -site soils are suitable for a standard septic tank and leachfield system. The septic tank should have a capacity of at least 1,250 gallons. The leachfield should have a minimum area of 1,673 square feet. An alternative would be the installation of 48 standard "Infiltrator" or standard "Biodiffuser" leachfield chambers installed in trenches as per the manufacturer's recommendations.
