Dear Mr. Whilden: As requested, a percolation test was conducted at the subject site. The test holes and profile pit were excavated with a backhoe on April 30, 1994 at the approximate locations shown on Fig. 1. Practical refusal to digging on large boulders was encountered at 6 feet. The profile pit log is presented on Fig. 2. The percolation test results are presented in Table I. Based on our exploration and testing, the site should be suitable for a conventional infiltration septic disposal system. The system should be based in the upper soils encountered to a 5 foot depth. Additional profile pits may be desirable to verify adequate depth of suitable soils below the system. If you have any questions or need further assistance please call our office.
