All of the components of the system had been installed, but no backfilling had taken place. The absorption area required was 570 square feet, there was approximately 660 square feet installed. The installation of the system was in conformance with the intent of the design. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact us. Shannon Voorheis laliall 0869 Stoneridge n , Glenwood Springs, CO 81601 Re: Voorheis Residence ISDS, Lot 7, River Ridge PUD, Garfield County Dear Ms. Voorheis: This letter is to provide information for an individual sewage disposal system (ISDS) for your proposed residence to be located on Lot 7 of the River Ridge PUD. Percolation testing was performed by HP Geotech personnel in the northeasterly portion of the building envelope on May 8, 1999. The average percolation rate was approximately 9 minutes per inch. With the proposed four bedroom house, the average wastewater flow rate expected would be 600 gallons per day, and the design flow rate would be 1.5 times as much, or 900 gallons per day. The minimum size of septic tank required would be 1250 gallons, but we recommend the next standard size, 1500 gallons. With a percolation rate of 10 minutes per inch, an absorption area of 570 square feet would be required for a gravel and pipe type of absorption bed (see attached sketch). We recommend this type of absorption area instead of a bed using InfiltratorTM units. If you have any questions, or need additional information, please contact us.
