Box 2872 5t 141 ( ;k`p IOJ Glenwood Springs, CO 81602 / Dear Mr. Watkins: i5 nol ,4 Based on the records and documentation of the Garfield County Building Department you have a building permit for residential construction which is outstanding. We would appreciate you calling us so we may schedule a convenient time to meet with you at the site in order to update the status of your project. If the building is complete we will perform a Final Inspection, which will satisfy Section 305(e) of the adopted 1988 Uniform Building Code. This section of the code states "there shall be a Final Inspection and approval of all buildings and structures when completed and ready for occupancy and use ". Failure to receive Final Inspection approval by this department prior to occupancy violates Section 30 -28 -209 of the amended Colorado Revised Statutes which state that this violation is punishable by a $100.00 fine, ten (10) days in jail or both with each day of violation being considered a separate offence. If communication from you is not received by this office within fifteen (15) days of receipt of this letter all information will be turned over to the Garfield County Attorneys office for legal action. I sincerely hope that this matter can be resolved quickly with as little inconvenience to you as possible and thank you in advance for your cooperation. Thank you, Michael E.
