Creek Estates at 45855 Hwy. 6 & 24 in Garfield County near Glenwood Springs,
Colorado. Enclosure.
Dear Mr. Cleland:
I have completed the plan review for your home at the location indicated above. I have enclosed
a copy of this analysis and of the corrections that will need to be addressed prior to permit
issuance.
I am sure you will need an opportunity to review these documents and discuss them with your
architect or engineer. After you have done this please contact me and provide me with the
corrections indicated. If you have questions please don't hesitate to call me, I will be happy to

Subject: Continuing work without inspection and approval at construction site at lot #40,
45855 Highway 6 & 24, Canyon Creek Estates, Building permit # 5005.
Dear Mr. Cleland:
Inspector Don Owens of this department responded to a request for a footing inspection at the
above referenced site. He discovered that the footing had already been poured and that the
reinforcing steel had been placed for the foundation wall. Mr. Owens was told by someone at the
site possibly you, that the pour had been authorized by this department if pictures were taken.
This is incorrect and the authorization was not given to pour the footing.
On January 25, 1994 you called and talked to Stella Archuleta of this department and requested an
inspection for that afternoon. She informed you that inspections in this area are done in the
morning with notice received the day before and that the inspection would not be done that
afternoon. She said that she would schedule you for an inspection the next morning.
This letter will serve to inform you that no work is authorized to proceed without inspection and
approval from a member of this department. A letter will be required to be provided to this
department prepared by a structural or professional engineer licensed in the State of Colorado
verifying the design and placement of the reinforcing steel and its compliance with requirements of
the Uniform Building Code.
I would appreciate a written response verifying your acknowledgement of the process and
agreement to comply. The staff and I wish to provide you with the services we are charged with
providing and desire to make the process as smooth and accommodating as possible. Thank you
for taking action to prevent this situation from arising again in this project. I am looking forward
to our mutual cooperation in the future.
