Occupancy for a house located at.1180- Quicksilver way, near Rifle, Garfield County, Colorado under permit No: 5736 issued November 22, 1995 and, WHEREAS, the following items have been determined to be apparent defects or deficiencies with the application which encumber the issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy until they have been resolved pursuant to codes adopted by Garfield County and approved by, the Garfield County Chief Building Official: Deficiency #1 - Stairs leading, to the basement do not have a handrail, as required by the Uniform Building, Code (UBC). Deficiency #2 - A properly sized egress window has not been installed in the basement, as required by the UBC. Deficiency #3.- Permanent support posts, have not been installed under the steel I -beams that support the center of the modular unit. and, WHEREAS, the Owner is willing to make certain assurances and agreements relating to these identified code deficiencies and on the basis of such assurances the County is willing to issue 'a Certificate of Occupancy. NOW, THEREFORE, it is agreed as follows: A. The Owner agrees to do the following: Deficiency No. 1. ACTION REQUIRED OF THE OWNER: Properly install a handrail between 34" and 38" above the nosing of the treads for the stairs leading to the basement. Must have a grippable section that measures between 1 1/4" and 2 ".' Deficiency No. 2.ACTION REQUIRED OF. THE OWNER: Properly install an egress window in the basement, as required by the UBC.
